PLAZA is a meeting ground. This traveling exhibition unites photography artists from the University of Arizona in Tucson & Arizona State University in Tempe-Phoenix. Artists were invited to reflect on their relationship to place in regards to belonging, meeting, ancestral roots and isolation; artists were encouraged to reflect on the idea of what it can mean to feel at home in a place or between places.

Inspired by Frederick Douglass’s 1852 speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?,” The Revolutionary Idea brings together the work of Anna Rotty and Greg Miller, two photographers who independently turned their attention to the people and spaces that make elections possible. Through photography, audio, printmaking and found materials, their work considers the voters, poll workers and election officials whose collective labor sustains our democratic process.

"The Fold: Episodes I, II, III" explores a world where bodies, machines and virtual beings encounter one another across shifting physical and digital boundaries. Through animation, robotics, extended reality, autonomous characters emerge, transform and respond to their surroundings. The exhibition invites viewers into an evolving space where technology becomes performer, object becomes agent and familiar distinctions between human, machine, reality and simulation begin to fold into one another.

"Landscape And…" features a semester's journey into the landscape and into the self. The exhibition showcases work from the Spring 2026 Landscape Painting class, including a rich collection of plein air paintings created at various locations around the valley.
