Faculty Position

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for multiple part-time Faculty Associate positions for the Spring 2020 semester.

The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire an Assistant Director at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. This is a full-time tenure-track/tenure-eligible faculty position with an administrative appointment, beginning July 2020. 

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire a 3D Animator in the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor for a full-time tenure track/tenure-eligible appointment beginning August 2020. This position will serve undergraduate students in the new BFA concentration in Animation and contribute to the School of Art’s highly ranked MFA program.

This full-time tenure-track/tenure-eligible position begins August 2020.

This full-time, non-tenured clinical position begins August 2020 for a one-year, renewable appointment.

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire an Instructor of Fashion to teach courses in two or more of the following areas: fashion illustration, patternmaking, digital patternmaking, draping, social aspects of fashion, fashion show production.  This part time, Instructor position begins August 2020 for a one-year, renewable appointment.

The School of Art at Arizona State University seeks to hire an Instructor of Drawing to teach the Drawing as Seeing and Thinking studio lab sections and manage the online administration. This full time, Instructor position begins August 2020 for a one-year, renewable appointment.
