Faculty Position

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire an Assistant Director at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. This is a full-time tenure-track/tenure-eligible faculty position with an administrative appointment, beginning July 2020. 

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire a 3D Animator in the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor for a full-time tenure track/tenure-eligible appointment beginning August 2020. This position will serve undergraduate students in the new BFA concentration in Animation and contribute to the School of Art’s highly ranked MFA program.

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor of Art History and Museum Studies with an emphasis in Global Museums and/or Global Cultural Heritage. This full-time tenure-track/tenure-eligible position begins August 2020.

Staff Position

The School of Art at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts is seeking an Instructional Specialist Sr. This position is responsible for oversight and coordination of the operational activities and equipment maintenance and installation for the Sculpture and Foundry area labs/studios. This specialist ensures equipment is functioning properly, demonstrations are set up correctly, and that teaching assistants know how to operate various tools and equipment safely. This specialist further schedules hours and provides training regarding safety procedures to student workers who monitor the labs; supervises the labs/studios and classrooms during open lab hours, and maintains regular communication with program area faculty and school administration about the equipment, safety, and work environment of the classroom/shops.
