The Art program on the Tempe and Online campus at Arizona State University invites applications for Faculty Associates to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses online and/or on-campus in: Studio Art

These positions are one semester appointments, part time, non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications. A typical Faculty Associate course load is one to two classes per semester. Teaching duties include:  preparing course materials, responding to and evaluating student work, and availability for one-on-one assistance (via weekly office hours for on-campus classes and electronically for online classes). 

The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment.  Individuals hired as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits-eligible appointments at Arizona State University. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Anticipated start date is: Fall 2024, session A, B and/or C OR Spring 2025 Session A, B, or C

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field + 4 years of industry experience OR a Master’s degree in relevant field by time of appointment + 2 years of industry experience
  • Evidence of effective teaching
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field
  • Record of scholarly publication and/or evidence of professional development in relevant field
  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary teaching experience 

The application deadline is 7/25/2024. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool.  Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed in the order in which they were received until the position is filled.
