2018 Adult Master Learner Workshops

Looking for enrichment, creativity, and artistic growth? Spend a Saturday with the School of Art at Arizona State University exploring a wide range of studio practices in our state of the art facilities. The Adult Master Learner Workshops will be offered in a variety of art forms including experimental ceramic vessels, papermaking, floral design and more. The workshops are taught by ASU faculty and professional artists. All are welcome, from beginner to advanced levels of experience. All materials will be provided.

Program fees  

Workshop fee: $100. Payment in full is due when you register. This includes materials.

Pulp Fiction: Sustainable Hand Papermaking
June 9 | Saturday | 11a.m. - 5p.m.

Recycle materials to make your own paper! This workshop will teach the artisanal craft of papermaking at the ASU Paper Mill. We will discover the importance of carbon footprint reduction through eco-friendly materials. Create your own unique greeting cards! Learn the basics of traditional letterpress, typesetting and printing by choosing from tens of thousands of image blocks and movable type in the largest type collection in North America. You will leave with a set of exclusive greeting cards to send to friends and family.

The Art of Floral Design

Sculpt with flowers! Cultivate your creativity and explore the elements of art with a new material as you learn the art of floral arragements. Be sure to check out Casting Organic Vessels where you can turn your flowers into sculpture.
