School of Art | Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts

Discover why the ASU School of Art is right for you.

The ASU School of Art prepares its students for the creative and critical challenges of the global 21st century through more than a dozen areas of study. Students are taught and mentored in an environment that values risk-taking, vision, excellence and affordability. The depth and diversity of our faculty and active engagement with ASU–wide research agendas, allows us to offer a number of specialties unique to ASU and the southwest region. Our facilities support a full range of artistic experimentation and include Grant St. Studios, a 40,000 sq. ft. graduate studio and production facility in downtown Phoenix. Our ties with the vibrant surrounding arts community are strong and include a yearly visiting artist/scholar lecture series, myriad co-sponsored activities and five publicly accessible galleries.
