2026 Galbut Prize Exhibition
Feb 17 to 26 | Gallery 100
Opening reception | Feb 17 | 5 to 7 p.m.
Martin and Cynthia Galbut are artists and art collectors whose love of art spans throughout history, from Asian Art to American Tonalism and Contemporary Western American Landscape painting. The Galbut Prize is modeled on the Henry Ward Ranger Prize, established at the National Academy of Design to recognize and support young talent. This annual exhibition includes a monetary award, juried by a rotating community member. This year’s juror is Dani Godreau, Visual Arts Curator at Tempe Center for the Arts.
Dani Godreau (she/her) is a curator, educator and artist with over a decade of experience in exhibition development, arts programming and community engagement. She holds an MFA in Drawing and Painting, a BA in Art History, and a BFA in Studio Art. Her background in studio practice and art education informs a curatorial approach grounded in material inquiry, visual storytelling and thoughtful audience engagement.
Godreau is Curator at the Gallery at Tempe Center for the Arts and previously served for over six years as the City of Tempe’s Community Arts Coordinator, where she led citywide arts initiatives, commissioned public art and oversaw multidisciplinary visual and performing arts programming. Her curatorial work spans traditional exhibitions, large-scale installations and participatory projects, with a focus on amplifying regional voices and fostering meaningful public connection.
