Academic Facilities Specialist Senior, Photo Studio Technician

The Academic Facilities Specialist Senior (Photography Studio Technician) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical support of the School of Art's photography facilities within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. This includes photography studios, classrooms, laboratories, analog and digital imaging equipment, fine art post-production and printing systems, and related instructional technologies. The position oversees the daily operation of the UGB equipment checkout area through the supervision and training of student workers and maintains equipment inventories, materials, and supplies to support instructional and creative activities. The academic facilities specialist ensures that photography facilities are safe, functional, and properly equipped to meet the academic, research, and creative needs of faculty and students. This position monitors compliance with university, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and applicable regulatory standards, and provides technical expertise, training, and consultation to faculty, staff, and students in support of complex photographic processes, specialized equipment, and advanced studio projects.

Position Salary Range:

• $50,000 - $62,000 annually
