Visual Resources Collection

The Visual Resources Collection is a teaching resource for the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art that provides the visual support materials faculty use — studio art, art history and art education — in the classroom as well as resources for graduate assistants and students. Two full-time curators, graduate research assistants, a part-time photographer and work-study students staff the collection. The collections, a 300,000 slide collection and the MDID (Madison Digital Image Database), are comprehensive in their representation of the history of Western, Oriental, Oceanic, Precolumbian, North American Indian and Islamic art.
