Students

Opportunities abound in the Intermedia program across the ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. As a student in the Intermedia program, you embark on an interdisciplinary approach to creating innovative art. You work with nationally and internationally recognized faculty who continuously advance their professional expertise, incorporating new thinking into their teaching and into their own art practices. You will also broaden your experience and exposure to the field of Intermedia by participating in the vibrant Phoenix Metro Art Scene with its alternative art spaces and established cultural centers such as the Phoenix Art Museum, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Tempe Center for the Arts.  On campus, the ASU Art Museum's nationally recognized collection and contemporary programming, along with events held on campus (e.g. TeleSculpture, VideoNite) are important resources. Farther afield, many ASU students and faculty participate in SIGGRAPH, the world's largest conference dedicated to computer graphics and interactive techniques.
