Fibers

The primary intent of the fibers program in the ASU Herberger College School of Art is to educate students and engage the community about the technical, material and conceptual issues related to the field through classes, exhibitions, public lectures and studio tours. The strength of the program presents a broad range of fiber techniques to enable and encourage the creative exploration of traditional and innovative methods rooted in the rich history of textiles.

Students obtain the knowledge and confidence to develop their professional portfolio with proficiency and distinctive character. The national and international reputation of the faculty provides students with a link to outside opportunities such as assistantships, internships, scholarships, residencies and exhibitions, which further enhance their education and professional careers.
