Claudia Mesch, Associate Professor, Art

2008-08-01
Claudia Mesch is an art history professor in the ASU Herberger College School of Art. She is founding editor of the Journal of Surrealism and the Americas and is pleased to announce that it will convene its second international conference on the subject of “Surrealism and the Americas” at Rice University in Houston, Texas, during the Fall of 2010. Houston is also the home of the Menil Collection — the collection of Dominique de Menil — that highlights both Native American and Surrealist art. This conference will be free and open to the general public.

During July, 2008, the Journal of Surrealism and the Americas published its latest issue – a Special Issue on Surrealism and Ethnography. Visit the JSA: Web site http://jsa.asu.edu and register as a reader to review articles and book and exhibition reviews.
