The third floor of the Art Building includes several studios utilized by the painting and drawing program in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art. The third floor studios include a drawing studio, painting studio, senior honors studio and watermedia studio.

The third floor drawing studio in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art is a large well-lit room dedicated to upper-division drawing classes: Drawing II, Drawing III and Advanced Drawing. The studio is outfitted with new, large drawing tables. All painting and drawing studios are wireless and have access to digital/slide projectors. Enrollment is capped to maintain a comfortable workspace.
The painting and drawing program in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art has two spacious painting classrooms equipped with storage/drying racks designated for student artwork, palette racks, lockers, easels and tableaus, as well as proper dry/liquid disposal and storage of caustic and flammable materials, such as a fire safe cabinet and large sinks for clean up. Also each class has access to a digital/slide projector and is outfitted with a screen. In the larger of the two rooms, there is a separate designated discussion area. The southern facing classrooms have large windows capitalizing on the beautiful desert light and extraordinarily tall ceilings helping to generate an open atmosphere. Enrollment is capped to maintain a comfortable workspace.
The painting and drawing program in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art wants to reward those students who are excelling in the program. The undergraduate honors studio provides a place for outstanding seniors to develop their portfolios and experience the productivity that advances by using private studio space. Private studios are available on a competitive basis.
The painting and drawing area in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art has a spacious third floor studio completely dedicated to watermedia classes. Instruction is offered in transparent watercolor as well as upper division offerings in a range of water-based media on paper including acrylics, ink, gouache, collage and mixed water-based media. The watermedia studio is equipped with large drafting tables, track lighting, a 72-inch paper soaking sink and flat paper storage for individual student projects. All painting and drawing area studios are wireless and have access to a digital/slide projector. Enrollment is capped to maintain a comfortable workspace.
