A comprehensive education that fosters innovation and sustains tradition

Students earning their degree in painting and drawing develop formal and technical skills in a range of media and learn historical and contemporary practices and concepts. The curriculum is designed to reflect the diversity and plurality of contemporary painting and drawing, including non-traditional materials and processes and topics relevant to issues facing our society today. In the drawing and painting programs, students develop their own style and create a unique body of work and gain professional skills necessary for pursuing a career in the arts, including those for exhibiting and marketing their work.
