Art Education
The art education program in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art prepares students to teach and offers a broad-based undergraduate curriculum providing substantial foundations in studio art, art history and art education, and a Master of Arts in Art with a concentration in Art Education emphasizing teaching and learning in schools, museums, community, online with interdisciplinary, multicultural, and international components.
The program has three full time faculty members and several faculty associates who mentor students in teaching, research and service areas of art. The program has an international reputation as a leading research center. In a survey of United States and Canadian graduate art education programs, the ASU program was among the top ten.
